What is the difference between medicine and public health? Medicine saves one life at a time, yet public health saves millions of lives at a time. In the result of a zombie apocalypse, you never know what will happen. The role of the director of health is to be prepared for all possible contingencies. He prevents the spread of diseases, responds to disasters and assists communities in recovery, and assures the quality and accessibility of health services. In addition, he communicates with patients and the public to decrease risks of being infected in a zombie apocalypse. This is a step by step plan on how different scenarios should be handled. With the zombies moving towards the south, as the director of public health it is our job to tell the public where to shelter. We have two separate groups, the infected and the non-infected. We have two separate charter buses to transport the non-infected people to a safe shelter, they will be in an emptied out, blocked in prison. The infected people are moved to another separate shelter where we will ignite it to get rid of the virus. With the two locations it will help control the virus. With the public moved into their safe shelter we will have food, water, and clothing available. We get volunteers to help out in the garden so that we never run out of food. We also have a group of people that go out on runs and look for canned goods and such in the city.
